A family of five are looking for either a live in or live out housekeeper to join their family home near Streatley, RG8, West Berkshire. You should have a full driving licence in order to apply for this job. You will be working 5 hours per day (25 hours per week)
Package Offered
- Working 5 hours a day – 25-hour week.
- Additional hours paid in overtime or time off in lieu
- Live out: £375 - £500 gross per week / £19,500 - £26,000 gross per year
- Live in: £350-420 gross per week / £18,000 - £23,000 gross per year
Family Background
The family live in a beautifully appointed five-bedroom property with an onsite cottage in the grounds. They have three children, aged 17, 15 and 11. They have two pugs and one golden labradoodle. Both parents work, the mother is often working from home, and the husband is working in London and travels regularly.
Duties
You will be in charge of all of the housekeeping in the property. You will be responsible for doing all of the laundry and ironing. You should be comfortable, willing and flexible to get fully involved with family life, and although the children are older, you should be happy to help with drop off/pick-ups, light cooking and dog walking around the housekeeping duties. You should be warm and discreet with an easy-going personality, who loves country life and living! You should be happy to help run errands, help keep the household well organised, and become a valued member of the family, willing to stay in a long-term role.
You should be happy to dog sit and be in charge of the security of the household while the family are away.
Location/Accommodation
The family live near Streatley, RG8, West Berkshire. If you wish to live in, you will be provided a one bedroom cottage – the family are open to couples, but are not able to accept any pets (unless they are goldfish or cage based pets like a lizard!). If you live out you should be able to commute easily each day to the property in your own car. If you live out, you should be flexible to provide house sitting/live in for when the family do travel to care for the household security and pets.

• Plus flexibility to do extra hours here and then when needed.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You should have a driving licence, and ideally have your own car – if you live in, a work car can be provided, but not for personal use.
