House Person/Cook Sought for Warm Family in Marylebone, W1 - London

A busy family of 3 based in Marylebone, London, W1 are looking for a new, long-term House Person/Cook to join their family.

Package Offered

  • £40,000 - £50,000 gross per year (depending on experience)
  • Monday to Friday
  • 12pm – 9pm (45 hours per week)

The mother and father are both professionals and are very creative. The father travels a lot for his work and the mother is busy with her work too. They have a lovely daughter who is 5 months old who has 2 rota nannies.  They will also have a weekend Housekeeper, and a part time housekeeper who comes every morning during the weekdays. The family have 2 Pomeranians so you must be happy to be around dogs, and happy to walk them in the evenings. The family also have a property in Yorkshire and often travel to a villa in Europe during the summer so there will be occasional travel with the family.

Your main focus will be on cooking, but you should also be happy to do housekeeping duties when needed and generally look after the household.  Arriving at lunchtime to cook a light healthy lunch and then concentrating on running the household and any housekeeping and ironing during the afternoon. You will also be responsible for sourcing the food, shopping and running errands. You should be happy to muck in and not be opposed to daily cleaning, making the beds, ironing, and looking after the household! The family would like someone who is confident with cooking and following recipes, and is not afraid to experiment with cooking dishes they may have not cooked before! Cooking duties will be lunch and dinner every day during the week. You should be confident in preparing meals and following recipes, particularly healthy Mediterranean food, fish, chicken, and pasta dishes. The mum is gluten-free. You should also be happy to walk the dogs in the evening.

This is a live-out role so you should be within an easily commutable distance to Marylebone, London, W1


  • Monday to Friday
  • 12pm – 9pm (45 hours per week)
  • Occasional overtime in the evenings as agreed in advance

You must speak a good level of English in order to communicate with the family.

Special Skills
You should be a confident cook and be able to prepare great meals and follow recipes. You should be knowledgeable about food and be confident in sourcing great ingredients. You should also be happy to do the housekeeping and laundry. You do not need to drive for this role.
