Duties
You should be a 'hands on' house manager.  The property is staffed, and the family office and senior estate manager need an experienced house manager who is skilled in searching for property service companies and tendering work. You should have experience of dealing with designers, and feel confident project managing the property as the works continue.  Dealing with admin, payments, liaising with contractors and getting any aspects of the household resolved quickly and efficiently.  You won't have to do any staff management as the staff have all been working for the family for over 20 years (and due to COVID will be coming to the property in limited scope over the next year).  You should be excellent at communicating, dealing with contractors, and have an eye for paperwork and efficiency.  For example, if any fine art is being delivered you would arrange delivery, or if any furniture needs repairs you would arrange this.

In the year ahead, they will be undertaking some renovations and updates of the property - so you should be confident with dealing with contractors - arranging quotes and then overseeing the work.  You should have a keen eye for detail and you should be willing to be highly efficient with communication with the senior estate manager whom you will directly report to.  You should be a team player and always happy to go the extra mile when required.

You should be highly discreet, well mannered and looking for a long-term role.  You should be fit, healthy and enthusiastic! There may be some travel, but this is a minimum.

Location
The property is based in Belgravia, SW1, London.  This is a live out role - you should be able to easily commute to the property.

Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm when the principal is not in residence.  When the principal is in residence (for 2-3 months total of the year), you will be expected to be highly flexible and work longer days/hours and weekend as needed.
