A professional couple near Primrose Hill, London, NW1 are looking for a full-time House Manager to help care for their beautiful home.  This is a live out and you should be able to commute easily to the property. You should have a driving licence for this role.

Package Offered
•    £50,000 - £65,000 gross per annum depending on experience

Family Background
The family comprises of friendly parents and two warm teenage children. They do not have any pets.  The mother and father are both professionals and work, with often long hours.  They enjoy travel and have a wonderful family vibe at home.  They run both a formal and informal household and enjoy having long-term members of staff, to help the house run smoothly and efficiently.  They love to entertain and enjoy regular events at the house.  

The family is down to earth and enjoy spending time together, socialising and cooking together regularly. They live in an impressive 17,000 sqft home in central London. The home has a technical swimming pool and an office on the grounds, and staff accommodation in the house.  They currently employ three housekeepers, who cover the household Monday through to Sunday. 

Duties
As a House Manager you will be responsible for arranging internal and external household services /vendors, managing a household budget, keeping supplies stocked, making travel arrangements and preparations, maintaining care of the clients’ valuables, planning, and coordinating special events, running personal errands for the client and household (including grocery shopping), receiving guests, and answering phones, assisting in proper table setting when required. You should be happy to drive for this role, taking the principals to meetings and appointments as needed.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience managing private households, with an eye for details. Social etiquette is also a necessity; therefore, you should have excellent interpersonal skills and understand appropriate practices within private households.

The family hire a small team of housekeepers, you should be happy to manage and to work alongside them, having a hands on approach. Having a good team spirit is essential for this role.  You should be confident to supervise them in their daily tasks and ensure any issues which inevitably crop up in the house are dealt with promptly and smoothly.  You will be the number 2 for the principals, and the household staff need to have a more formalised hierarchy, so that they deal with the house manager, rather than going each day to the principals.
You should be flexible, adaptive and confident with luxury properties. This is a smart home, and has security, technology and IT which is ‘smart’ and thus you will need to be able to learn the system (if you have not worked with them previously) and manage it effectively

When the family are entertaining you will greet guests, perform light Butler duties and ensure that the events run seamlessly.  You will be in charge of the household and ensure that it runs effectively and efficiently.  

Location
The house is in Primrose Hill, London, NW1. This is a live out and you should be able to commute easily to the property.

Days/Hours
•    Working Monday – Thursday, 9am – 1pm then 2:30pm – 7:30pm, with an hours break for lunch and afternoon tea break.
•    On Friday you will work 10:30am – 11pm, (with a 1.5 hour lunch break, and an afternoon break of another 2 hours) however you may be expected to stay later in the property as this is the evening the family entertain.
•    You should be happy to be flexibility to do extra hours when agreed in advance over the weekend, and if you do then you’ll be paid in overtime or given time off in lieu.

Languages
You must speak an excellent level of English to communicate with the family. 

Special Skills
You should have good experience working as a house manager in a private household.  You should be skilled in managing ‘smart’ homes and be able to handle technological, IT and security systems.  You should be flexible and adaptive.
