A lovely family near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, are looking for a groundskeeper/maintenance person to care for their home. You must be a confident driver with a full driving licence in order to apply for this job. This is a live-out role so you must be able to commute easily to the property.
Package Offered
- £34,000 - £37,000 gross per year depending on experience
Family Background
The young family live together in a beautiful four-bedroom, property surrounded by a 100-acre plot of land. The family have multiple onsite office tenants and the husband will occasionally be working onsite. You must be an animal lover as the family have dogs, cats, horses, cattle and sheep! They are an outdoorsy family and take part in outdoor pursuits.
Duties
The Groundskeeper will be responsible for providing efficient and effective maintenance of the landscape and property. Including ensuring the security and general appearance of the building and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required high standards. This is a varied role and duties include but are not limited to:
- Completing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly checklists.
- During the summer months – you will assist the garden with gardening duties such as mowing and caring for grounds.
- During the winter months you will be responsible for grounds maintenance of the property and general house management, such as maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, fencing.
- Providing maintenance for the outbuilding which includes 7 rented offices such as fire alarm checking, house maintenance, painting, bathroom resealing etc.
- Chopping wood for the fire.
- Sorting the electric fencing out when required.
- Walking and feeding the dogs.
- Parameter checks.
- Driving duties as and when required.
- You should be organised with good communication and prioritisation skills.
- You should be professional and friendly, greeting tradespeople and guests as they enter the estate.
Location
The property is near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire. This is a live out role so you should be able to easily commute to the property.
Days/Hours
- Monday – Friday, 7.30am – 5pm
- Occasional weekends needed, will be agreed in advance and paid in overtime or lieu
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You must hold a full driving licence and be a confident driver. You should have experience driving various size and type of vehicles. Experience with horses would be a bonus but not essential.
