A busy family located near Reading, RG7, Berkshire, are looking for a skilled Gardener to care for their large 8.5-acre garden. You must be in an easily commutable distance to the property.
Package Offered
- £16 - £20 gross per hour.
- Flexible hours, 25 hours per week. Either working 3 full days or 5 half days.
Family Background
A lovely family, who have two children, aged 11 and 9. They live in a large 5-bedroom house, with a 1 bedroom cottage onsite. The properties are nestled amongst a stunning 8.5 acres of grounds with a vast number of plants, trees, and shrubs. You must be comfortable working around animals for this role as the family have a selection of pets including several dogs and a rabbit.
Duties
You will be responsible for the maintenance of the 8.5 acres of gardens and grounds. You should have an eye for detail and a passion for the upkeep of beautiful grounds. You should be knowledgeable about plants and planting, such that you can contribute confidently to the maintenance and development of the large collection of trees and shrubs. You should be confident to deal with contractors such as tree surgeons and be able to manage them.
You will be responsible for the upkeep of the gardening equipment including vehicles, ensuring they are regularly serviced and in good working order. You should be organised and tidy. You should be a strong, self-motivated team player, and be looking for a long-term role and a wonderful project to be involved with for years to come.
Location
The family home is located near Reading, Berkshire, RG7. You should be able to easily commute to the property each day.
Days/Hours
The family are flexible with the working hours, working 25 hours a week in total, either working 3 full days or 5 half days.
Languages
You should speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
- You must have a passion for gardening and enjoy working outdoors in all weather.
- You must have professional gardening experience and very good knowledge of plants, trees, and shrubs.
