An American family who are relocating to Knightsbridge, London, SW1 are now looking for a full-time nanny to join their family home.
- £45,000 - £65,000 gross per year depending on experience
- Working Monday to Friday
A professional family of four, with two children aged 2.5 years old and 5 years old, are relocating to the UK, to central London, Knightsbridge, SW7. The father is a CEO, and the mother is a busy individual, and they have two intelligent and warm children. They have a stunning new home in Knightsbridge where they will be living, and the family will be arriving in July. They have a much-loved nanny in the US, who will not be re-locating with them, and they are therefore now looking for a new long-term nanny to join their family unit for many years to come. The family travel regularly, and they will have a part time housekeeper and part-time Chef working in their new home in Knightsbridge. They have no pets.
The parents are both very busy with work and personal commitments, and thus need a nanny who is confident with both sole and shared charge. You should be warm, kind and compassionate, with joy for looking after children. Creative, fun and stimulating to the ages of the children. The eldest child will be at full-time school a few minutes walk from the family home, and the youngest will likely attend nursery a few mornings a week in the lead up to them starting school. You will be in charge of both children from morning drop-offs and collecting at the afternoon. Taking to play dates and arranging fun activities for them both.
You should be easy going and happy to be involved in family life, helping with the child, and taking them out to play in the gardens and to other activities. You should be willing to keep the child's area clean and tidy - although you won't have to do cleaning, you should be organized and tidy, with a great attitude. You should also be happy to cook for the child and help with errands. The children have no dietary requirements. When the little ones are poorly - you will be in charge of looking after them and helping them get better, keeping them safe and happy. You should be happy to tidy up after the children, putting toys away and doing their laundry specific to the children.
You should be loving and caring, allowing the children to enjoy their sense of discovery and growth, and you should encourage learning activities at home. The family travel regularly in the school holidays and there may be an opportunity to travel with the family, although this isn't part of the role if you don't wish to travel.
In the evening you'll be helping with the bed and bath routine. You should be confident in sole charge, but equally, be happy with shared charge as the parents are fully involved in the children and daily routine - so you should be confident with both approaches. You should be organized and have a warm and lovely personality.
You should be flexible, confident with these ages, and occasionally be happy to work weekend (if agreed in advance) but this is rare.
This is a live-out role in Knightsbridge, London, SW1. You should be within an easily commutable distance to apply.
- Monday - Friday
- 9-10 hour day depending on the overall package
- Flexibility is key.
The parents speak fluent native English, and you should also speak a very good level of English. If you speak any other languages such as Spanish or French this would also be a bonus but not required.
You should be looking for a long-term role and have experience working with children of these ages.
