A busy family, based in the New Town area of Edinburgh, EH3 are looking for a new Nanny to join their family home. This is a live in or live out role (or flexible). You should hold a driving licence in order to drive the children for their schedule.

Family Background
A family of four, the mother and father have two children aged 10 and 12 who both attend full time school. They live in a beautiful four storey townhouse with lots of stairs, in a beautiful part of the city. The children are from the father's first marriage and spends every other weekend with this family and with the ex-wife (at a seperate property). The mother is due her first child in November, and the family are excited about a baby joining their busy family home. The father is a very successful business man, who runs a large business, and works long hours. The mother has no plans to go back to work at this stage. They have a maternity nurse who will work for the family when the baby arrives for 5 weeks. They are now looking for a lovely hands-on nanny to join their family home. They have two dogs.
Duties
You will be essentially flexible, to help with childcare, including helping the family with pickup/drop offs, activity and play dates, care of clothing for the children, cooking for the children and logistics for the children's busy schedule! The mother will be around, so you'll sometimes have sole-charge and often be there to give an extra pair of hands. Helping with homework, babysitting and running errands to make sure the children are well managed and cared for. When the new baby arrives, although the maternity nurse will be with the family for the first five weeks, and then the mother will not be returning to work in the near future, you will be able to start to help with assistance with the baby to give mum a break and catch up on sleep. Flexible to help with proxy-parenting overnight when required. You should be happy to help around the household, helping with tidying up and all child related duties. You should be professional, all-rounder who is positive, discreet and well presented. You should be flexible, willing to take direction and have good initiative. Being able to multi-task is key. You should be pet friendly, happy to help with the dogs on occasional walks and feeding. There may be occasional travel with the family, and you should be confident with sole charge when the mother is not around. They have a second property in Stirling where they visit to, so on this occasions you will travel with the family.
Location/Accommodation
The family live in Edinburgh, EH3, and they live in a four storey townhouse (with lots of stairs!). If you live in or are flex-live in you'll be provided a beautiful self-contained bedroom, living room, bathroom with a seperate entrance (it is part of the main house). If you live out that is also fine, but you should be entirely flexible to do proxy-parenting whenever required.
Days/Hours
50 hours a week, split over the week. Typically each day will be a split shift arrangement, 7am start, working through to lunch time, with a number of hours break, and then starting work in the late afternoon working through to 9pm. You'll have at least one full day off each work, probably two, but there will be some weekend work - particularly when the older children are home for the weekend.
Languages
You should speak a good level of English in order to help the children with their homework.
Special Skills
You need to be able to drive. If you do not have a car, then one will be provided.
