A family of four are moving from Central London to a beautiful property near Petersfield, East Hampshire, are looking for a new long-term nanny to join their family. You should hold a full driving licence and be a confident driver (with minimum of 18 months experience of driving) to apply for this role (a car will be provided). This is a live in OR live out role - the family are open to both.
Family Background
A lovely mother and father, they have two sons aged 3.5 and 1.5. The 3.5 year old will attend full time nursery at a nearby town in Petersfield. The father works locally, and is often able to pop in to have lunch with the children. The mother works in London, commutes daily and spends one day at home, working from home. They have no pets. They will have a part time cleaner who will attend the property. Their current nanny who has been with them for over three years has decided to stay in London and the family are very sad to see her go, but understand she doesn't wish to move out to the countryside with them. They are now looking for a new, long-term nanny who is fully committed to the family for a full time, long-term role.
Duties
Your role will be fully focused around the children. You should however be happy to help out with family life and duties, including emptying the dishwasher or just generally tidying up. You should be fun, active and willing to get fully involved in the children's growth and development, from role play through to helping with any school activities or play groups. You should be happy to cook for the children, and happy to tidy up after them, preparing their things for nursery, getting them ready, helping with daily routines and tidying up in their rooms. Light laundry and hanging them to dry - and generally being involved in family life. You should be confident with sole charge, and taking the children to activities (by car). You should be warm, playful with a wonderful energy and love for children. You should have good initiative to get the job done and be flexible as the family life expects.
Location/Accommodation
This is either a live out, or live in role. You can either commute daily, or you can be provided beautiful live in accommodation - private room and bathroom within the main property. If you commute you should live in a commutable distance from Petersfield, East Hampshire and have your own car due to the rural location of the property.
There is also an option for a nanny who has a partner/child to live in the cottage opposite the family (which they also own). This would only be offered to candidates with families/partners, any solo applications for live in, would be within the main property.
Days/Hours
- Monday to Friday.
- 47 hours total week, the family normally split this with four 10.5 hour days and an additional 5 hours used on one day or evening
- Flexibility for babysitting paid in overtime
Languages
You must speak a good level of English. If you speak any other languages that is great but not required.
Special Skills
You should be child friendly, and you should have a full driving licence, the family will provide a car for all duties revolving around the children which is a manual car. The family live in a rural location, so you should have at least 18 months of driving experience on your licence.
Package Offered
- £9-11 gross an hour live in, £10-15 gross for live out
- £22K gross - £40K gross a year depending on experience
- Car will be provided for all nanny duties

- Optional for candidates with families/children to be provided seperate accommodation in the cottage nearby which the family own.
