A family of four (soon to be five) living in a beautiful property near Empshott, East Hampshire, GU33 are looking for a new long-term nanny to join their family. The role is predominantly sole charge with occasional periods of shared care. You should hold a full driving licence and be a confident driver (with minimum of 18 months experience of driving) to apply for this role (a car will be provided). This is a live out role.
Package Offered
- £10-13 gross/hour
- £24,440.00 - £31,772.00 gross per year depending on experience.

Family Background
A lovely mother and father, they have two sons aged 4 and 2 years plus a new baby due in May. The 4 year old attends full time nursery at a nearby town in Petersfield and will start school in September, the 2 year old is not currently at nursery but will attend 2-3 mornings a week from September. The father works locally, and is often able to pop in to have lunch with the children. They have no pets. They have a part time cleaner who attends the property. They are very sad that their current nanny is leaving due to a change in personal circumstances. They are now looking for a new, long-term nanny who is fully committed to the family for a full time, long-term role.
Duties
Your role will be fully focused around the children. You should however be happy to help out with family life and duties, including emptying the dishwasher or just generally tidying up. You should be fun, active and willing to get fully involved in the children's growth and development, from role play through to helping with any school activities or play groups. You should be happy to cook for the children, and happy to tidy up after them, preparing their things for nursery, getting them ready, helping with daily routines and tidying up in their rooms. You should enjoy being outdoors as the boys are extremely active and enjoy being outside, the house has a large garden and is close to a farm and woodland. You should be confident with sole charge, and taking the children to activities (by car). You should be warm, playful with a wonderful energy and love for children. You should have good initiative to get the job done and be flexible as the family life expects.
The role is predominantly sole charge with occasional periods of shared care.
The baby will have a maternity nurse for the first month or so to begin with who will help to get the baby into a good structure. You should however be happy and confident around babies and happy to care for the baby in the future, growing with the family's needs.
Location
This is a live out role. You should live in a commutable distance from Empshott, East Hampshire GU33 and have your own car due to the rural location of the property.
Days/Hours
- 47 hours per week
- Usually 8am-6pm Monday to Thursday
- 8am-3pm Friday (can be negotiated to some extent)
- Flexibility for babysitting paid in overtime.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English. If you speak any other languages that is great but not required.
Special Skills
You should be child friendly, and you should have a full driving licence, the family will provide a car for all duties revolving around the children which is a manual car. The family live in a rural location, so you should have at least 18 months of driving experience on your licence.
