A professional single father with two children aged 13 and 15 is looking for a full time live in Nanny to join their family in their central London home.
This is a busy family with a single father and two children aged 13 and 15. The family also have a small Shih Tzu dog as a pet.
You will be responsible for ensuring the children have everything they need. Helping with breakfast and the school run in the morning, and running any errands during the day. Then starting again at 3.30pm, collecting the children from school and take them to after school activities. Preparing and cooking simple healthy meals for dinner, helping with homework where needed. Whilst the children are at school you will be expected to run any errands needed for that day; liaising with and managing the existing housekeeper to ensure everything the children require is available when needed; organising shopping, walking the small Shih Tzu dog plus running other errands where needed. You will be responsible for making sure the children have everything they need for school including school uniforms.
You should be flexible and able to look after the children should the father need to work late or go to a dinner. You should also be willing to proxy parent on a handful of occasions throughout the year should the father need to travel.
The family are based in Islington, London. This is a live in role so the family will provide a bedroom with en suite bathroom for you on a floor with no other bedrooms.
Full time, Monday to Friday with the weekends free. During term time 7am-9am then 3.30pm-8pm with the children. They are flexible about how you spend the time whilst the children are at school but you would be expected to run any required errands in that time, such as liaising and managing the housekeeper, organising shopping, walking the dog etc, and making sure the household is running smoothly.
You should speak an excellent level of English.
You must have experience as a nanny in private households. Hold a driving licence and be a confident driver in London as you will be expected to drive the children to activities and sometimes to and from school. You must be independent and well organised.
Between £450-£600 net p/w depending on background and experience.
The family is interviewing now, with the role to start in September.
