A family of 6 who live in Primrose Hill, North London are looking for a new, long-term live in experienced housekeeper to join their family home. You should have a driving licence to apply for this role.
A professional family, the father and mother both work (mainly from home), but also travel and have busy diary engagements. They have four children, aged 18, 16, 13 and 8. The eldest daughter is leaving for university in September and the other three children are at full time school. The family have had a domestic couple work for them, but feel the role is now more suited to a solo person, someone to care for the house. They would then bring in external temporary staff depending on what additional duties might needed to be covered. The property is a 7 bedroom house, over four floors. Out of the seven bedrooms, only four are actively used, and this will reduce to three when the daughter goes to university in September. Over the four floors they have a kitchen, bathrooms, with two smaller drawing rooms, lounge. In the basement of the property is a gym and a study. They do not have any pets.
Your main focus will be on the housekeeping and clothing/wardrobe management. You should be experienced in maintaining properties to the highest level, flexible and adaptive in your approach with common sense and integrity with your working ethic. In the summer the family travel to their countryside property and they may well as you to travel with them when they need you to. You should have an eye for detail and be happy to manage the wardrobe management, care of all areas of the house. You should be child friendly, and willing to assist with the morning and afternoon school run if needed, the two schools are local and one son takes the school bus 5 minutes away. Running errands and shopping when required.
You will be provided beautiful fully furnished accommodation in the family home. The private space is in the basement section of the house, with it's own kitchenette, bathroom, with entrance via the main house. With wifi, TV and your own private space. The property is in Primrose Hill, North London.
Monday to Friday. 7am start to prepare breakfast. 1 and a half hours for lunch break. Finish around 8pm. Some flexibility when the family are travelling in December, April and July to adjust if the family need you to. Two babysitting per week (if required).
You must speak a good level of English.
You should either be an all rounder in housekeeping/laundry skills or an all rounder in housekeeper and wardrobe management. You should have a full driving licence (a car can be provided)
- £33 - 40K gross per year, depending on experience, the family has wiggle room around this to find the perfect candidate
- Full employed with tax and pension and NI paid
- 20 days plus 8 days bank holiday
- Accommodation plus all bills.
