A kind and caring family of three who live near Cheltenham, GL20, Gloucestershire, are looking to hire a full-time Housekeeper to help them look after their family home and also assist with childcare. You must have a full driving license for this role. This is a live in, live out or flexible role.

Family Background
The family of three live in a beautiful seven-bedroom home near Cheltenham, GL20, Gloucestershire. They have several reception rooms in the home as well as a swimming pool. The couple has a 20-month-old daughter who is at nursery during the week and they are looking for someone who is happy to help out with the baby occasionally. The family also has three lovely and active border terriers so you must be happy around dogs for this role.
Duties
You will be focused on the housekeeping of the property, ensuring the main house is kept clean and tidy at all times. The couple also own an Airbnb cottage on the grounds of the main property which will also require about 3-4 hours per week of cleaning, but is generally fairly low-maintenance.
Most of your time will be spent looking after the main seven-bedroom property. You will be in charge of the housekeeping duties including daily and deep cleaning, laundry, ironing, and cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, and general cleaning.
You will occasionally be asked to assist with the little girl, doing nursery drop-offs and pick-ups once a week if the parents are unable to and occasional proxy-parenting, so you should be kind and caring and happy to be around young children. You must be happy to do one overnight of proxy parenting per week to assist the family.
There will also be some cooking required from time to time, when the couple are busy, so if you can cook and are confident in preparing healthy meals for the family this would be a bonus. They enjoy basic home-cooked family meals.
You should be happy to run errands for the family, such as going to the shops, post office and walking the dogs.
Location
The family home is located near Cheltenham, GL20, Gloucestershire. This is a live-in, live-out, or flexible role. If you choose to live out you should be within easily commutable distance. If you choose to live in then you will be provided with a private apartment at the top of the property.
Days/Hours
- Working Tuesday – Saturday. You will have two full days off each week.
- Working 40 hours per week. Hours are flexible and the family are open to discussions on the hours you wish to work.
- You must be happy to do one overnight of proxy parenting per week to assist the family.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
You must have professional housekeeping experience in private households. You must hold a full driving license for this role.
