A family of five based in Munich, Germany are looking for a new long-term housekeeper who is happy to help with the children, for a long-term role. You must hold a driving licence.

A professional family of five, the mother and father work, and they have three children, aged 10, 4 and 5 months old. Mum is now at home on maternity leave, but plans to go back to work when the baby is older. The eldest is at boarding school, and comes back home on some weekends and during the school holidays. The family travels regularly, and they do not have any pets. They live in a beautiful, spacious five bedroom property in the center of Munich. They are now looking for a new long-term housekeeper who is happy to lend a hand with the children whenever required to be in a long-term position with their family.
You should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a very high standard, with great attention to detail. You are expected to maintain the household in a self-organized, proactive, hands-on manner with a plan of your own, with always an independent approach to work. You will be responsible for the daily and deep cleaning of the household and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms and all areas of the house.
You will also be responsible for the family’s laundry and ironing and should be able to undertake these duties to a high standard. You should be able to handle fine clothing. The property has a number of beautiful items such as instruments and art, and you should be able to care for these in the correct way. Also preparation of healthy meals for the children or the full family will be part of your duties for the meals within the working hours.
Additionally, you should support in the child-supervision and be also comfortable to take care of the children in sole. You should have experience working with babies and small children. Babysitting once a week is required, and if the parents were to go away for a night then you may be asked to stay overnight for proxy-parenting when agreed in advance.
The family would like you to travel with them on holiday to help with the holiday routine and children. You should have a can-do attitude, with an excellent eye for detail, professional and flexible attitude. You are in close contact with the mum to report on the children’s activities and developments.
The property is based centrally in Munich, Germany. The family are happy to assist with re-location and accommodation for non-local candidates.
Working Monday to Friday, 8/9am to 4/5pm each day, with two days off each week. Flexibility to do occasional weekends when agreed in advance. One night of babysitting included.
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family. Basic German skills are a big plus. Additional language skills are a plus.
The family requires a candidate who is highly reliable, even-keeled, professional, motivated, proactive, thorough, organized, structured, service-oriented, experienced, discrete and with good time-management. You should be well experienced with babies.
