A busy family of three, who are based near Pewsey, Wiltshire, SN9, are looking for a full-time housekeeper to work in their home. This is a live out role. You must have a full driving license for this role. You should have your own car and be able to commute easily to the property.
Package Offered
£32,000 - £55,000 gross per year depending on experience.
Family Background
A mother and her two children, have just recently purchased a beautiful property close to the daughter’s school. The family will use the property during the term time, holidays and half-term, with other long weekends when the children have exeat (weekends off from the boarding school). The family’s main residence is in London. When the family are in residence the family consists of two teenage children who are at boarding school, and two small Cavalier King Charles Spaniel dogs who travel with the mother between properties. The mother will likely stop over when she visits her children at boarding school mid-week, and then visit for long weekends, spending more time in the holidays. The family are looking for a long-term housekeeper to look after and maintain their 5 bedroom, four-bathroom property. The family entertain from time to time and have guests over during the holidays so it is important that the residence is kept in excellent condition all year round.
Duties
You should be confident with all daily housekeeping duties and be able to clean and care for the home to a high standard. You will be responsible for the upkeep of the household and ensure it is tidy and presentable. Duties include all housekeeping tasks such as laundry, ironing, unpacking the groceries and ensuring that the home is tidy, organised, and well presented.
You should be happy to deal with contractors and if required, be happy to run errands like going to the post office or dry cleaners. You should have experience with silver polishing and flower arranging.
You should be happy to cook for the family, cooking light and simple meals for the family when they are in residence. You should be pet friendly, happy to help with the dogs, feeding and walking as needed.
The successful candidate should have strong initiative and an eye for detail. You should be confident with all aspects of house management and be able to assist with the clean and care for the home to a high standard. You should be a team player, always willing to go the extra mile and be looking for a long-term role.

The family live near Pewsey, Wiltshire, SN9. This is a live out role and you must be able to commute easily to the property.
Days/Hours
- Working Tuesday – Saturday (5 days per week)
- 9am – 5pm (when the family are not in residence), or 9am – 7pm (when the family are in residence).
- Flexible to do additional hours (when agreed in advance) and paid in overtime
Languages
You must speak a good level of English to communicate with the family.
Special Skills
You should be an experienced housekeeper for this role. You should be self-motivated will excellent communication skills.
