A lovely family with 13 month old twins, and another set of twins on the way, are looking for a full time nanny to join their busy household near York. You must hold a driving licence in order to apply for this role. This is a live in OR live out role.
Family Background
A lovely family, they currently have 13 month old twins (boy and girl) and the mother will give birth to twin girls at the beginning of May this year. The father works from home but travels a lot. The mother is at home but will want to go back to work at some stage. They have a part time nanny and a cleaner. They have a large 4 bedroom house over three floors. The house is in a beautiful rural village, in between York and Harrogate.
Duties
You will be in charge of all childcare duties, mostly sharing the care for all the children besides either the mother and/or the part time nanny. The reason they want to hire a full time nanny is so it will enable the mother to go back to work. Therefore when the mother goes back to work there will be sole charge of the newborns and older twins too. They have a cleaner so you do not have to clean the house however you will be responsible for the children's’ washing and ironing, cooking for the children, and cleaning their playrooms and bedrooms. You will be driving the children to playgroups and swimming, or assisting the mother in doing this when needs be. When the new twins are born, newborn childcare will be required and an important part of your day. You might be required to travel with the family when needed.
Location
The family will consider both live in and out, but have a preference for live out. If you were to live in you would be provided with the top floor large bedroom, including sitting area and private bathroom.
Days/Hours
You will be working Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm and Saturday morning. You will have Saturday afternoon and Sundays off.
Languages
You should speak an excellent level of English.
Special Skills
You should hold a full driving licence as the role requires driving. You will be driving the family’s 8-seater automatic car during working days. You must have experience working with twins and with new borns. You should be very hardworking and organised to keep up with busy family life.
Package Offered
Depending on background and experience the salary will be as follows:
£400 - £500 net pw live in (£495 - £642 gross pw = £25k - 33k gross per annum)
£400 - £550 net pw live out (£495 - £716 gross pw - £25k - £37k gross per annum)
Interviews/Start Date
The family are interviewing and trialling people ASAP to make sure everything is set and ready for the new twins’ arrival - the start date of the role will be April 2018.
