A fully staffed formal household in Mayfair, London, W1K, are looking for an experienced chef to join their team of existing chefs.
- They will pay between £35-40K gross per year depending on experience
- 35 days paid holiday per year (typically taken when the family are on holiday themselves)

The family of 6 family members, there is a mother and father and four grown up children, (the children, who are adults, range from ages 43 to the youngest, who is 17, ). They have no pets in the household. A fully staffed household of 20 staff, the household is run as a boutique hotel would be. They have formal dinner service every evening, and there are three Chefs, one who is moving on after many years of service for the household. The approach to the food and service in the household is of the very highest. The family, and the staff eat the highest quality of food. A formal household, there are many prestigious guests, including royalty who attend. The family travel regularly throughout the year, from ski season, religious holidays and during the main Summer/Easter and Christmas periods. The staff are formal and all wear uniforms (which are provided). The general manager is always looking to help support the staff, and they are are happy to send the staff on training courses they wish to do, for example a chocolate making course etc.
You will be working alongside the other two chefs, in a rota/shift position. Menus are prepared daily, with breakfast and lunch served as to the choice of the family members. There are a range of options on the menu, for example breakfast might be scrambled eggs through to truffles. Salad, chocolate smoothies, poached salmon etc. Every night a formal dinner is served, with the family choosing from two starters, four main courses and a pudding. It is full Butler service at dinners, and the menus are adjust according to the guests and tastes of the family. At each day, there are always two chefs working per day, on one day there are three chefs who work together. So team work is key. The kitchen budget is managed by the head chef, but the chefs all work together as one unit, with a strong team work ethic in place. The kitchen supplies are of the very best and they use a high quality supplier in Europe for the food. If the chefs require any additional kitchen facilities or equipment, then this is ordered for the chefs. On Monday morning, the day starts with a 10am meeting for the household staff led by the general manager, with a recap on the previous day, plan for today and then any comments or feedback from the family. The family live in Mayfair, London, W1K. You should live an easy commute to this central London property.
Working 5 days a week. Working 11-12 hours on the working days. A rota schedule, one chef will start 7:30am and finish at 6:30pm. The second chef for the day will start at 11am and finish at 10pm. On one day, three chefs will work, then the hours shift to 10am to 9pm.
You must speak a good level of English.
You should be able to cook to extremely high standards.
