Family Background
A professional and intelligent family of four (soon to be five with mother expecting her third child in November), with two young children aged 4 years old and 7 years old, are looking for a full-time nanny. The oldest child is at the school and the youngest daughter is starting reception. The family is professional, with the mother running her projects from home and the father working long hours. The family are international and the father speaks French. The family travel regularly and have a fully staffed household and a maternity nanny until September. The family have one beloved small dog so you must be happy to be around dogs.

Duties
You should be warm, kind and compassionate, with joy for looking after children.  The family want the nanny to be attuned to the children and have a genuine, fun connection with them. Active, fun and stimulating to the ages of the children. Lots of roleplay and unstructured fun times, activities based on the children’s interests, Both children will be attending fulltime school, so you will be doing daily school pickup.

You should be easy going and happy to be involved in family life, helping with the child, and taking them out to play in the gardens and to other activities. You should be willing to keep the child's area clean and tidy - although you won't have to do cleaning, you should be organized and tidy, with a great attitude.  You should also be happy to cook for the child and help with errands.  When the little ones are poorly - you will be in charge of looking after them and helping them get better, keeping them safe and happy.  You should be happy to tidy up after the children, putting toys away and doing their laundry specific to the children. Wardrobe management, school uniforms, school supply organization and packing will fall under your responsibility.

You should be loving and caring, allowing the children to enjoy their sense of discovery and growth, and you should encourage learning activities at home. The family value education and discovery and have a very progressive view of parenting based on a gentle and compassionate approach, connection and cooperation. The family travel regularly in the school holidays and are looking for a nanny to travel with them. They have a 6 week holiday this summer, where you would be expected to cover 4 weeks.

In the evening you'll be helping with the bed and bath routine.  You should be confident in sole charge, but equally, be happy with shared charge as the parents are fully involved in the children and daily routine - so you should be confident with both approaches.  You should be flexible and have a warm and lovely personality.

You should be happy to work in a fully staffed home, which is informal and relaxed and be confident around babies to help with once the maternity nurses finish their contracts.  In September the family will likely recruit for a weekend nanny to help with their children. The job is very child-focused but you will need to liaise and cooperate with other staff members on a daily basis and need to have a high degree of flexibility and initiative in doing so.
