A busy family of five, who live in Hampstead, London, NW3, are looking for an experienced French Speaking Nanny to join their family home.
Package Offered
- £55,000 - £80,000 gross per year depending on experience
- This is a flexi-live in during the week and live out at the weekends.
- You will be provided private accommodation in the family home during the week.

Family Background
A friendly family of five, the mother and father are busy – with the father working abroad regularly. They have three children aged 8, 5 and 4 and they all attend full time school/nursery. They have a full staffed home with a Chef, Weekend Nanny, Tutor and housekeepers. The family are bi-lingual and speak English, French amongst other languages! Their children are fluent in all the languages. They are now looking for a new, long-term French speaking nanny to join their family home, to provide mum an extra pair of hands and support in day to day duties. They have no pets in the household, and the family travel regularly throughout the year.
Duties
From Monday to Friday, you will be on call to assist mum and help the children with the support, development and love they need. You should be a good team player and be able to fit in well with the existing team and other staff, and established schedule and routine which work well.
You will be assisting with the morning routine, school drop offs during term time – shared with mum. Once you return after the school run, you’ll have free time for the day until the children return from school. The household is busy during the day, so if you have hobbies, activities, or prefer to return to your weekend location (if it is in London) then you are welcome to – as the family prefer the other staff to be able to focus on the household duties at hand.
You’ll then assist with pickup and taking to after school activities. The oldest has a tutor 2 afternoons per week who helps them with their homework, so mainly you’ll be focused on the younger two children, but the nanny will need to engage with all three children and additional reading and conversation with the eldest. The children are easy-going, comfortable with the staff and have a joy for life – you should be able to help them flourish and plan fun learning and play activities. You should be confident with planning lovely activities and be fully engaged with them at all times. The parents don’t like much screen time – so you should be happy to create activities and reading, stories or even dance routines!
You’ll then assist with the evening routine and bedtime. You will be on call during the evenings so you should be flexible around this. The children all sleep well, but if there is a problem from time to time, the mum would like to rely on your help and assistance.
During the school holidays your hours will adjust slightly – but you’ll be up in the AM, engage the children during the days. Travel with the family will be regular, and you should be happy to travel with the family and other staff. You should be confident with sole charge and also shared charge care and an excellent team player.
Location/Accommodation
The family is based in Hampstead, London, NW3. You will be provided a private bedroom for the evenings you stay in the property
Days/Hours
- Monday - Friday
- Work starts on Monday morning, the start time is flexible and the family are happy to discuss at interview. You can commute in the morning to the property or arrive on the Sunday evening if you prefer.
- Finishing Friday evening at 7:30pm and leaving the property for the weekend as the weekend nanny arrives on Friday evening.
Languages
You must speak fluent French in order to speak to the family and children in French and help develop their language skills in this area.
Special Skills
If you drive this is a bonus, but not required. You should be looking to commit for a two year, if not longer, role with the family.
