A professional family based in Camden Town, London, NW1, are looking for a new long-term nanny to look after their daughter. This is a live out or live in role. You will be provided with accommodation nearby if you live in. You must have a full driving licence.
Package Offered
- £60,000 - £80,000 gross per year depending on experience
- Accommodation will be provided in the property on the ground floor, private apartment-style accommodation with separate entrance. Available for those who wish to live in.
Family Background
This is a professional family who are currently living in New York but moving back to the UK in the summer. They have a five year old daughter. They are keen to find an experienced nanny to help with their daughter and other tasks around the house. Their daughter will start school this year.
Duties
You should be a highly skilled nanny, willing to help guide and develop their daughter. You should ideally hold formal nanny qualifications, or if you do not, you should have worked extensively as a professional nanny, working with children of similar age.
You should be organised and kind, willing to plan and develop learning activities and goals for the little one. You should be experienced in educating and stimulating through play and fun activities.
You should be willing to travel with the family when they travel and be flexible in your approach.
The ideal candidate is caring, loving and kind, with the child's best interests at heart. Both confident and responsible, lively with a positive approach, well organised and open. Have a proactive approach and a good work ethic.
This is a child focused role, you will be expected to keep the child’s areas tidy, make her beds and do the laundry. You will be responsible for getting her to school and picking her up from school each day.
When she is at school, you should be happy to do other tasks around the house and run errands such as trips to the post office, dry cleaners, and grocery shopping.
You should be a confident cook, and happy to prepare and cook healthy simple meals for the family. You may be asked to follow recipes or be happy to be shown new dishes that the family enjoy.
Ideally, you will join them in New York for a couple of months before they move back to the UK.

The family are based in Camden Town, London, NW1. This is a live out or live in role. Accommodation will be provided in the property on the ground floor, private apartment-style accommodation with separate entrance. Available for those who wish to live in.
Days/Hours
- Monday to Friday, 8am – 8pm
- Flexibility is expected with working hours
- Additional hours will be paid as overtime or time off in lieu
Languages
You should speak English fluently.
Special Skills
You should have experience looking after children of similar age. You should be flexible and be willing to get fully involved in family life. You should be able to drive.
