A lovely family based in Dublin, Ireland are expecting their twins at the start of May 2018 (mum will be induced on May 23rd) and are looking for an experienced maternity nurse to join their family for a 4-6 month booking.
A down to earth and active couple, they already have five children (2, 3, 4, 6, 7 - 2 girls and 3 boys) and this will be their first set of twins! They family have additional nannies and support for the other children, and had maternity nurses for all of their previous children. However they now want to find a specialist with twins to help with their new arrivals. The mum is due to be induced at the start of June 2018 and would like the maternity nurse to start as soon as the mum is out of hospital. The mother breastfed the previous children and is open to either breast or formula depending on the support she gets - so she needs an amazing maternity nurse to help support her with this routine.
You should have experience working with mothers who have had a C-section (if the mum is required to have one) and most importantly used to be working with twins. You will be there to aid her in her recovery along with supporting the needs of the babies to help establish a good routine. The family don't have a specific approach to routine, but you would be expected to sleep in the large nursery with the babies, bringing the babies to the mother for night feeds when appropriate. Your duties will be completely around the baby and establishing a healthy and positive routine, supporting the mother and father whilst being integrated with the family. You should be experienced and be able to give the mum space to recover, and also be able to read good family dynamic. The mother is due to be induced on the 23rd of May (all going well) and then on June the 16th they will be leaving for Spain until August 21st when they will return to Ireland. You should be happy to travel with them during this period.
The family live in Dublin, Ireland.
6 days, 24 hours, with one full day off a week (with access to private bedroom on your day off or you can go home).
You must speak excellent English in order to communicate easily with the family.
You must have previous experience as a maternity nurse, and specialise in twins.
The mum is open to considering all maternity nurse rates so please let us know your expectation when applying for the job.
The babies are due at the start of May (23rd is the booked induction), so the mum wants to find and book the right maternity nurse now so she is prepared and ready.
