A family based near Primrose Hill, London, NW1 are looking for an experienced part-time housekeeper to help them care for their home. This is a live-out role so you should be able to easily commute.
Package Offered
- £20 - £25 gross per hour, depending on experience.
- Working 16-20 hours per week - Monday to Thursday or Friday
- Working 8am - 12pm
Family Background
The family live in a beautiful 5-bedroom property set over 4 floors and have two children. They have recently re-located back to the UK from the USA, and are looking for a long-term member of staff to join their household. The family also have a kitten (and plan to get a puppy in the future) so you must be happy around animals for this role.
Duties
You should be highly professional and experienced as a housekeeper. You must be flexible, and reliable with knowledge of laundry care and that of fine clothing as well as wardrobe management experience, is required.
The day-to-day duties include:
- Cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, stairways, and other household areas
- Looking after pets
- Polishing silverware, dishes, glass and other items that need to be cleaned but cannot be washed in a dishwasher
- Cleaning and sanitising furniture and other items that cannot be moved from their location
- Dusting shelves, blinds, baseboards, ceilings, windowsills, and other surfaces in the home
- Cleaning floors and carpets using steam or shampoo machines, where possible
- Cleaning walls, ceiling fans, or other hard-to-reach places on request
- Cleaning to the highest standard and ensuring the property is kept presentable is the primary role. After which you would be required to help with the laundry, including:
- Washing, steaming and ironing, organising and storing seasonal wardrobes
- Bed linens are sent off-site to be washed and cleaned
You will also be required to keep the fridge and pantry stocked and prepare simple healthy meals for the family to enjoy.

Languages
A good level of English is required.
Special Skills
You must be highly organised and have great attention to detail. You should have a strong working knowledge of laundry and care of fine clothing. 5* hotel experience would be a bonus.
