An HNW family is looking for an experienced housekeeper who specialises in laundry to join their new family home in Central London, W1. This is a live-out role so you should be able to easily commute.
Package Offered
- £55,000 - £80,000+ gross per year, depending on experience. The client can pay higher for the very best of the best

Family Background
The family are moving into a new property in Central London. The property is currently undergoing reconstruction, with four separate flats being transformed into one large residency. The family have pets, so you should be happy working around animals. The family have children but there are no childcare duties.
Duties
You should be highly professional and experienced as a housekeeper. You must be flexible, and reliable. You must have proven 5* hotel experience and knowledge of laundry and care of fine clothing. You should have excellent communication skills and experience liaising with other members of staff. You should be immaculately presented, professional and a discreet individual who understands the importance of confidentiality. Your duties will be split between housekeeping and laundry.
Housekeeping
- Cleaning bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, stairways, and other household areas
- Reporting to the concierge/household manager about scheduling changes or problems with existing arrangements
- Maintaining inventory of household supplies and equipment
- Looking after pets
- Polishing silverware, dishes, glass and other items that need to be cleaned but cannot be washed in a dishwasher
- Cleaning and sanitising furniture and other items that cannot be moved from their location
- Dusting shelves, blinds, baseboards, ceilings, windowsills, and other surfaces in the home
- Cleaning floors and carpets using steam or shampoo machines, where possible
- Cleaning walls, ceiling fans, or other hard to reach places on request
Laundry
- Duties include washing, steaming and ironing, organizing and storing seasonal wardrobes
- Coordinating dry cleaning
- Maintaining clothing and linen inventory
- Shoe shinning/polishing
- Responsible for every aspect of clothing and linens care, from cataloguing designer items to mending.
Location
The property is in Central London, W1. This is a live-out role so you should be able to easily commute.
Days/Hours
- Working Monday to Friday
- Working 9am - 5pm
- Flexibility around working hours and days is expected
Languages
An excellent level of English is required.
Special Skills
You must be highly organised and have great attention to detail. You should have a strong working knowledge of laundry and care of fine clothing.
