A lovely couple are looking for a live-in Domestic Couple for their beautiful country property in Virginia Water, Surrey, GU25. Both of you must have a full driving license for this role.
Package Offered
- £25,000 - £45,000 gross per year per person (£50,000 - £95,000 for the couple)
- A one-bedroom flat with a separate entrance will be provided
- Manual car provided for work duties
Family Background
They are a lovely couple in Virginia Water with grown adult children who sometimes visit during the holidays. The couple also have property in the USA. For 4-6 months of the year, the family will be in their home in USA or on other holidays. They live in a beautiful property with 5 bedrooms. Their current domestic couple are moving back to their home country after many years, and they are now looking for a new, long-term couple to be a valued and trusted part of their family life. The family may consider having a dog in the future and you should be animal friendly.
Duties
As a domestic couple, you will be responsible for the housekeeping, general maintenance and gardening duties. You will ensure the property is always cared for and presentable. As well as being happy to undertake all aspects of cleaning the house and keeping it tidy you will be responsible for laundry and ironing to include care of delicate fabrics.
You will sometimes need to shop for food and supplies when required as well as order online, in preparation for the principals coming to stay or guests visiting.
Occasional driving duties are required, including collecting and dropping off in the local area, airport runs, etc.
The successful candidates should have a hands-on approach and be skilled in housekeeping, gardening, and basic maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for the security of the house.
House-sitting duties will be required when the couple are away, to keep an eye on the property, and keep the house safe.
Location/Accommodation
The property is located in Virginia Water, Surrey, GU25. You will be provided with a one bedroom flat on the grounds with all utilities covered. This position is not suitable for people with dependents.
Days/Hours
- Monday to Friday with a Saturday morning
- Hours may require some flexibility from time to time, but the current couple works 8am - 1pm, and then 4pm - 7pm, with the gardening duties performed during daylight hours.
Languages
You must speak a good level of English.
Special Skills
Between you, you should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and gardening. Enthusiasm for country living and high standards are essential. Both of you must have a full driving license for this role.
