A family are looking for a new, long-term Chef specialising in vegetarian cuisine to join their family home in Jolly Harbour, Antigua in the Caribbean. You should be able to drive for this role.
- $50,000 - $65,000 gross per year, (US dollars) depending on experience and background
- A relocation/VISA package can be negotiated as part of the package if required
- Working 5 days a week. With the flexibility to work additional days when required.
- A car will be provided as part of the package
- Accommodation in the villa grounds can be provided.
A family located on the beautiful Caribbean Island of Antigua are looking for a new, long-term chef who is very confident in cooking a large variety of vegetarian meals. The family live on a beautiful large villa estate.
You will be responsible for the planning, preparation and cooking of daily meals. You will also monitor and replenish food supplies and equipment for the household. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner for the family and occasionally for guests too. The family love all cuisines but are strict vegetarians and follow closely the teachings of their faith in this regard.
You should be happy to batch cook for the family on days that they are fasting.
You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and keeping it in good condition, cleaning all surfaces and floors after use, keeping pots, pans and all work surfaces well cleaned and polished. You will also ensure that the ovens and refrigerators are clean and out-of-date items are discarded.
You should be discreet and professional and be looking for a long-term role. An incredible opportunity to work and live on a very unique island!
The family live in Jolly Harbour, St Johns, Antigua. Accommodation can be provided as part of the re-location package
Working 5 days a week. If you are happy to work 6 days a week (when the family are in residence) then this would increase your salary. 10 hour working days.
You must speak a good level of English
You should be a skilled Chef and able to comply with all Hygiene, Health & Safety Legislation requirements. You should be comfortable in a family setting and be highly discreet and well mannered.
