A High Net Worth principal based in Central London, Mayfair, W1 are looking for an experienced Butler to join their family home. You should be an experienced Butler, looking for a long-term role. You should have a full driving licence.
Package Offered
Between £45,000 - £50,000 gross per year depending on experience.
Family Background
The principle is based in Central London and travels internationally relatively regularly for both business and pleasure. He is an ambitious gentleman with high expectations when it comes to service and expects his staff to have the same mentality.
Duties
You will be required to take care of the principle, his house, wardrobe, table service, silver polishing, home security and day-to-day hands-on tasks. You will work closely with the principle’s housekeeper, drivers, chef and PAs and will build functional relationships with both the principle and other members of staff. You will work incredibly closely with the housekeeper who has been with the principle for over 10 years and you should be happy to work in unison and divide tasks to avoid crossover.
It is also incredibly important that you have a good understanding of sartorial elegance. You should be committed, loyal, conscientious and trustworthy, with the discretion at the heart of your service. You should have excellent attention to detail and be effective in your communication.
Your daily tasks will include working with the housekeeper to maintain the household, wardrobe care, table service, polishing silver, and being the right hand Butler of the principal. You will be responsible for guests and visitors and ensure the safety and security of the household. You'll be expected to be professional and hold yourself with integrity. There may be travel with the principal, but this will be occasional.
You should be professional, organised with a good knowledge of menswear, you should be a team player and always professional both in formal and informal settings, with an understanding of cultural etiquette.
Location/Accommodation
The principals home is in Central London, Mayfair, W1. This is a live out role and you should be able to easily commute to the property.
Days/Hours
Working 5 days a week, with normally Sunday and Monday as the two days off. 11am - 7:30pm each day (with flexibility around this).
Languages
An excellent level of English is required. If you speak any other languages (French or Spanish) this would be a bonus.
Special Skills
Total professionalism, Butler skills and a high level of discretion and ability to work well with others. You should have a full driving licence.
