A lovely family of three based near Richmond, London, TW7 are looking for a new long-term afterschool nanny to look after their 3 year old son. You must have a full driving license for this role. This is a live-out role so you must live within an easily commutable distance.

Package Offered 

  • £18 - £24 gross per hour depending on experience
  • Working Monday – Friday, from 3pm – 7pm (with some flexibility)
  • An automatic car can be provided for work use if needed

Family Background 
This friendly family comprises of busy parents and their energetic 3 year old son. The family have no pets. The family home is a beautiful townhouse situated in a private gated community, it is surrounded by a spacious garden. The local area has lots of green spaces which the nanny can enjoy with the little boy. Their son will be attending a pre prep school in September which is located a short twenty minute drive away. The family already employ regular cleaners who visit weekly to keep the home clean and tidy.

Duties 
You should be confident around children, and passionate about children's development and learning.  You must be happy to be with both shared and sole charge. The family are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic nanny with a lively and positive attitude.

You should be experienced with all aspects of nanny duties for the three year old boy. You should be happy to clear up after him and any activities, making sure  that his bedroom is clean and tidy. You would be responsible for doing the child’s washing and laundry too.

You would help the parents with the school run, collecting the little boy from his pre prep school at 3:30pm, the school is approximately a twenty minute drive away. It is important that you are a safe, responsible, and confident driver.

When you arrive home, you will be responsible for providing the little one with snacks and preparing a healthy, balanced dinner for him. He is not a fussy eater and enjoys eating a variety of foods including pasta, chicken, and fruit.  In the evening you’ll help with the bath time and bedtime routine and be able to help the families’ daily needs.

As the little boy gets older, you will be responsible for helping him with his homework & reading. You should be confident in nurturing his development and expanding his knowledge and understanding. In time, the parents would like to sign him up for afterschool activities and clubs, you should be happy to take him to these appointments.

You will be responsible for planning and organising activities. The little boy is a sociable, energetic and fun character. He loves reading, painting, and other engaging activities. He has a curious mind and loves learning new things, he is even bilingual.

During the school holidays there may be the opportunity for you to travel with the family or work longer hours during the day. This is a bonus but not essential.

The family live near Richmond, London, TW7. This is a live out role so you must live within an easily commutable distance.

Days/Hours

  • Working Monday – Friday, from 3pm – 7pm (with some flexibility)
  • You should be happy to do occasional overtime hours or babysitting over the weekend, this would be agreed in advance and will either be paid or given as time in lieu

Languages 

You should speak English fluently to be able to communicate with the child and family.

Special Skills 

You should have experience working as a nanny.  You should be flexible and be willing to get fully involved in family life.
